VBS

Last week we had VBS at the church. The first day we were a little discouraged because there were only about 30 kids that came. We usually have about that many on a wednesday night, so it was a small number for us. The next day we had 90! We continued to have 90-100 kids all week, and about 140 that came and went throughout the week. There were a ton of kids and parents that we had never seen before. We are hoping that this has brought some positive exposure to the church and that we'll begin to see some crossover to Sunday mornings. The team from Grace Bible Church that came to help was absolutely wonderful. They really took pleasure in being there and loving on our kids and they were just great. It was especially nice to have such great men of faith there to shepherd our boys. They are really in need of positive male influence, so they ate it up. Everything ran so smoothly and the kids all had an incredible time. We had about 36 of those kids make the decision to follow Jesus. AWESOME!

I was also impressed with Sydney. She was such a "big kid" last week. She jumped in with no reservations and went with the flow, learned a lot, and sang and danced her heart out! It was wonderful getting to hear her tell other kids all about what she knew about God. And I got such a kick out of watching her sing all the songs and do the motions. Check her out on the video!
