Home Improvement

There comes a time as a homeowner when the things that were moderately bothersome become really bothersome. In general I think carpet is nasty. Sure its soft and cozy for your toes, but when you have three kids that spill, mash, and pee on carpet, its just NASTY. So it had to go.

Here's the carpet ripped up and the underlayer down....

Here's where we got really frustrated because it wasn't working like it should...but then we figured out the problem and correctly interpreted the instructions and FINALLY got to the finished product!

So in all would you say the do it yourself route is good for this project? I am pondering wood floors for our living room area.

yes we really did it ourselves. Its not too terribly hard, though we are still working out some glitches as far as the quarter round goes. But I think i've got it figured out, just have to find the time to get it done.

We did syds room a few days later and since we knew what we were doing it only took a few hours.
